1. Pilot project to revive and promote traditional ‘Namda’ craft”

Revival of Namda craft of Kashmir as a special pilot project under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0
Namda craft of Kashmir is a rug made of sheep wool through felting technique instead of normal weaving process.

2. GST collection November

November gross GST collection at Rs 1,31,526 crore, 2nd highest ever.
Out of this, the CGST component accounted For Rs 23,978 crore, SGST Rs 31,127 crore, IGST Rs 66,815 crore (including Rs 32,165 crore on import of goods), and cess Rs 9,606 crore (including Rs 653 crore on import of goods).
The revenues for November are the second highest ever since introduction of GST. The highest-ever revenues since the rollout of the tax were collected in April this year (over Rs 1.41 lakh crore).

3.2021 INDIA-ITU JOINT CYBERDRILL


The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) aims to improve the cybersecurity readiness, protection, and incident response capabilities of Member States by conducting CyberDrills at the national and regional level
This 2021 India-ITU joint CyberDrill for Indian entities will emphasize the role of national Computer Incident and Response Teams (CIRTs) and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) in building cyber resilience and protecting critical information infrastructure

4.Vidya Deevena scheme of Andhrapradesh

The scheme aimed at making education accessible to the poor.
The concerned  amount will be   directly credited into the accounts of the mothers as they could better supervise the college facilities and the students’ well-being, which would also improve accountability of the college managements.

5. World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1.

The theme of World AIDS Day 2021 is “End inequalities. End AIDS”.  With a special focus on reaching people left behind, WHO and its partners are highlighting the growing inequalities in access to essential HIV services.

6. Kyhytysuka sachicarum

An international team of researchers has discovered a new marine reptile. The specimen, a metre-long skull, has been named Kyhytysuka sachicarum.
It is an extinct species
It was discovered from fossils found in central Columbia.

7. Barbados has become the World’s newest republic :

Nearly 400 years after the country became a British colony, Barbados has become the world’s newest republic. The Caribbean island nation removed Queen Elizabeth II as the head of the state in a ceremony attended by Prince Charles.
Dame Sandra Prunella Mason, who was selected to become the first president of Barbados last month, took over as the President of the country.

8. India’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 8.4% in the July to September quarter, compared to a 7.4% contraction a year ago, with the economy’s gross value added (GVA) rising 8.5%, according to  the National Statistical Office .

9. Government has introduced a bill that proposes to amend the High Court Judges (Salaries and Condition of Service) Act and the Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Condition of Service) Act 2009.
